Our Vision

Every young person is provided the opportunity to create a safe, warm home with customised care, to lead a thriving, healthy and happy life. Our focus extends beyond immediate care to support successful transitions out of home care, integrating wraparound supports based on Kaisal’s Hamlet Model.

Hamlet Care offers culturally safe and holistic care services designed to support young people in creating their individual ‘Hamlet.’ Our approach aligns with Kaisals Hmalet Model inspired by Urie Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory, recognizing the complex interplay of individual, family, community, and societal factors. We provide:
The Product
  • Personalized Care: Tailored support to address each young person’s unique needs and developmental stages.
  • Successful Transitions: Comprehensive planning and support to ensure a smooth transition from out-of-home care to independent
    living.
  • Wraparound Supports: Holistic services that include family engagement, community resources, and systemic supports to enhance overall well-being and integration into the community.

The Overall Industry
In Queensland, numerous residential youth care services exist. Hamlet Care differentiates itself through its comprehensive, co-designed care approach that incorporates ecological theory. By considering the multiple layers of a young person’s environment—ranging from immediate care settings to broader community and societal contexts— Hamlet Care aims to provide more effective and integrated support.
The Competitors
Hamlet Care distinguishes itself with a focus on ecological theory, emphasizing personalized care, successful transitions out of home care, and extensive wraparound supports. Our unique methodology fosters greater stability and long-term success for young people.
The Financial Status
As a not-for-profit organization, Hamlet Care is dedicated to sustainability and ensuring that every dollar received directly benefits our clients. Our financial approach supports our mission to provide comprehensive care and effective transition services.
Future Plans
By 2027, Hamlet Care plans to expand its services beyond Logan City, incorporating more extensive wraparound supports in new regions. By 2037, we aim to have supported over 500 young people, with 25% successfully transitioning into their own ‘Hamlet’ within the broader community, demonstrating long-term stability and growth.
