What We Know

In the Industry and our Difference
Hamlet Care Service
recognizes the growing need for young people to have a safe, clean, and well-functioning home. There is an increasing gap in residential care services across Queensland, particularly in the Logan catchment area. Hamlet Care Services steps into this critical space with the mission to address the needs of vulnerable young people who require residential care and youth support. Starting from modest beginnings, Hamlet Care Services is committed to being part of the solution to enhance residential care for young people. Our approach aligns with the Hope and Healing Framework, aiming to provide not just care but a pathway to recovery and well-being.
Our Approach:
  • Cultural and Equitable Lens: We integrate cultural sensitivity and equity into every aspect of our programs, ensuring that our practices are inclusive and respectful of the diverse backgrounds of the young peoplewe support.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Our services are grounded in best practices for trauma-informed care. We recognize and respond to the impact of trauma on young people, tailoring our support to promote healing and resilience.
  • Ecological Theory: The ‘Hamlet’ model is rooted in Urie Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory. We collaborate with young people to design their individual ‘Hamlets,’ focusing on strengthening their self and supporting their development within their broader environmental context.
Hamlet Care Services is dedicated to creating environments where young people can feel safe, supported, and empowered, helping them to thrive and build a better future.
